Product Description

A traditional barbershop scent, this soap contains bergamot, lemon, patchouli, oakmoss, lavender, and rosemary. A fresh, clean fragrance that goes with pretty much anything. Please note that our bergamot essential oil has been treated to remove the photosensitizing qualities (bergaptene).

We blend all of our fragrances in house and by hand; we do not and never will use pre-blended fragrances for our soaps. Each batch of fragrance is individually blended for a specific batch of soap; we blend our fragrances each and every time to ensure the absolute highest quality.

Jars are 3.94 inches in diameter and are filled directly while the soap is hot, allowing for easier loading of the brush.

    :

Barrister & Mann Seville shaving soap is the first Barrister & Mann soap I tried and like all of their soaps is a 10 of 10’s. Seville has everything: aroma, lather, protection and glide. In my permanent rotation.

    :

The #2 soap in my rotation, not far behind LPV from Catie’s Bubbles. Awesome in every aspect. 10/10.

    :

Barrister & Mann Seville has become the #1 soap in my rotation of 20+ soaps (not to mention my creams). In fact, it’s all but stopped my rotation. It always attracts me back to it – day after day. The robust, classic scent and premium performance are unmatchable. A true gentleman’s soap that starts (or ends) the day right!

Did a test lather of this today…incredible…the scent, the slickness, the density, the cushioning. Maybe one of the best lathers I’ve seen. The scent reminds me of a lemony rosemary kinda vibe but much more complex…in a very masculine kinda way…it is barbershop…has hints of Dr Harris Arlington. Very pleasant and nice strength.

I purchased the Seville scent because it’s the B&M barbershop scent. I smell barbershop along with a lemon scent that I wasn’t really expecting but it smells wonderful. I would say it’s a barbershop scent with a twist of lemon. The soap performed very well. It has given me many fantastic shaves with it’s amazing slickness and thick lather. This is a top performer and is in my everyday rotation.

    :

A soap that I use almost weekly. B&M soaps are my “go to”. They always perform at a top level. The slickness, lather and scent are the best. If there was only one scent I could buy from B&M, it would be Seville. Just a classic barbershop scent.

    :

One of the most Impressive Artisan soaps I’ve ever used. Every aspect of this soap is far more superior to others. I admit, It’s a bit pricey, but If you haven’t tried B&M yet… DO IT! You won’t regret it. The scent is certainly a type of Barbershop to my nose, but with a touch more citrus. One of my favourites besides Adagio & Leviathan.

The scent is just terrible for me. The lather is nice but the scent is just super bitter weird scent.

B&M soaps are just top notch. This scent is one of my favorites.

I have been wet shaving now for over 12 months. In that period I have tried many shaving soaps and creams with the objective to find the best one to use on a regular basis for my sensitive face. Now that I have used B & M Seville several times, I can confirm that this provides the best shave on many fronts. For me it ranks top for scent, lather, cushion and slickness. I now understand why this is rated so highly many users.

    :

When I first opened this soap I didn’t care for the scent, not even when I started lathering it… The second day it just got to me, it simply made me feel GOOD when I was putting it on my face.

I really recommend it, the after-shave feel is just top-notch, and so is the lather.

I had ordered a couple samples of other Barrister and Mann scents and enjoyed them, so I just pulled the trigger on a full puck of Seville as soon as I saw that it was available. I’m glad I did. My favorite scent of all the soaps that I have tried so far. A masculine scent with a citrus twist, this is what I brought to my family to smell when they thought I was clearly crazy with the number of wet shaving purchases lately. Well, they still think I’m crazy, but they did pass the puck around a few times and couldn’t get enough of it. Regarding the quality of the lather…it’s Barrister and Mann. ’nuff said. This will likely be my go-to shaving soap, and looking forward to trying the AS.

    :

Heard and read a lot of great reviews for this particular barrister & mann soap/scent. Def agree, its a soap that will be in the steady rotation. Its got a great slickness that is noticed after washing off the first pass and lathering up for the 2nd. The scent for me has a bit of a powdery fresh scent??? Not sure if that was the goal but I liked it! Great soap overall!

    :

Great scent. Not as slick and protective as a high-quality shaving cream. But, for a soap…it’s very good. As always, YMMV.

    :

Easily whips up thick lather that provides a smooth straight razor shave. The scent is wonderful and lasts for hours post shave. Leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft.

    :

B&M’s Seville shaving soap is out of this world!
It so quick & easy to make a ridiculously dense, shiny, creamy lather that offers ample slickness & protection for even the most sensitive skin types. I can even use this stuff in the cold, dry Maine winter without a pre-shave oil, which isn’t possible with non-B&M soaps or else my neck is covered with razor burn. The upgraded Glissant base that has been available since September 2016 makes this all the more true.
The scent is wonderfully crisp & refreshing, and the new packaging in the low-profile jar with the topography map bull sticker on the lid is as classy & hip as it gets.
I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

    :

One of my faves of all time. It is a great scent, great performer, great post shave, and packaging. It’s a spicy citrus version of barbershop where it’s not really a barbershop at all. It’s worth it!

Translate: I was quite surprised by this B & M not only for its great aroma of lemon and other citrus notes, but for its great peculiarity of making an excellent moisturizing and protective foam that provides the shea butter, the amount of Lanolin and tallow in this soap, which makes it very easy to foaming.

I’m not sure why it’s so well liked. It’s a solid meh. It does lather reasonably well, it does have a somewhat interesting scent, but I can’t say much more about it that’s positive. I don’t find the lather that great, nor is it especially slick. You won’t feel ripped off, but I don’t think it will amaze you either. I suppose it’s good for beginners, maybe a nice intro soft soap. It certainly has a different scent than what you’ll find in a box store, but it’s nothing like the extreme (and amazing) smells like in other B&M soaps. It isn’t bad, but I regret buying a big tub, a sample would have done. The B&M LAVANILLE is very different and very much remarkable! I’d also rank Cologne Russe above this one.

    :

A great soap. Its lathers thick and slick in no time for a great shave — I lather on my face. It is one of my favorite soaps. I keep about six shaving soaps and tried about ten others and have never found any objectionable. I’m more interested in the closeness of the shave. Seville is one of my favorites because I get a great shave. The scent is fine, too.

Favorite scent in my rotation, the other being B&M Oceana. Both perform the same: amazingly. I eagerly await the release of Seville’s matching aftershave which is supposed to be sometime this month.
