Instead of carrying a satchel full of products like moisturizers, astringents, and healing balms, we combine everything into one product: our post-shave salve. The moisturizing properties of the glycerin and lanolin reinforce the all-around goodness of shea butter, avocado oil and coconut oil. After scraping your skin with cold, hard steel, witch hazel and aloe vera sooth irritation and battle redness.
Instructions for use: Take your trigger finger and scoop a dime-sized amount, a little bit goes a long way… then rub it between your palms until it reaches body temperature. Massage it into your freshly shorn, still damp skin. Make sure you take the time to really work it into damp skin for 45 seconds to a minute, which helps with absorption and allows you to enjoy the blooming scent. Depending on the dryness of the skin, the absorption time will vary.
Henry Shaw is responsible for Tower Grove Park and the Missouri Botanical Garden in Saint Louis. In that garden, flowers and plants from the Far East coexist to species native to the Saint Louis area. In this scent, reflective of Shaw’s oasis in South City, the uniquely distinct smell of yuzu citrus, blended with the unmistakably recognizable smell of rose and the dry, sharp scent of patchouli come together so all three work together in unison to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
