Very nice brush but a bit small for my tastes. I dinged it a "star" as it "feels" smaller than the size description. It is good in size though for my small pucks of soaps in small tins. I am quite impressed at the softness of this brush straight out of the package. The initial shave without any break in was comfortable. I am definitely going to get a larger Semogue brush as I am a boar brush convert. I can't believe it has taken me all these years to try a boar brush. I have always used Silver Tip and Finest Badger brushes and have been scared to try a boar. Excellent later, low "animal" aroma and decent softness which I know will get even softer with a good break in. I highly recommend.

Once this brush was broken in (about 12 lathers or so), it softened up and splays fairly easily. It is a nice brush, but I have one complaint. The paint has cracked. I'm not sure if it is due to the expansion from soaking in hot tap water prior to use, or perhaps a small manufacturing defect.

Absolutely love this brush. Prefer boar to badger and this brush does not disappoint. After about a week, the bristles soften however still provide great scrubbing action when lathering. Tend to spend longer on the initial lather just cause the brush feels so nice on the face. Well worth the money and a great starter brush!!

I think this is a pretty good brush. When I first got it, it was really stiff. After about a weeks worth of use it broke in pretty decent. Lathers like a dream. It has enough backbone to lather soaps well. It's definitely worth the price.
