A great fresh-cut salon scent

I was a bit worried at first, because in the bottle this aftershave smells very unremarkable. Don’t let that fool you. I also thought it would smell just like the soap. Don’t let that fool you, either. Perhaps it’s just my experience, but I perceive the scent of the aftershave quite differently. It’s almost more of a “flanker” scent to my sniffer, and takes the bergamot, amber, and elemi and turns them up a tad bit. While the soap has a more clean & musk-forward presence yielding to a clean, inoffensive cologne-like scent, the aftershave smells QUITE a lot like a boutique high-end salon. I’m not talking supercuts or great clips, i’m talking that place in your town that calls itself something french and charges $35 a haircut. It’s remarkably good and I wasn’t expecting that out of this after trying the soap. It’s still inoffensive but it’s not afraid to focus even more on the clean and breezy qualities present in the sop and accentuate them. If Barrbarr is NO’s barbershop scent, this is their salon scent.
