Made with Benzoin, Frankincense, Clove, and Nutmeg essential oils. This soap smells like an older gentleman’s pantaloons at the end of a hot July day in Philadelphia, drafting important documents with no air conditioner. It’s actually a very unique scent that reminded a few of my testers of a root beer float. An instant favorite. (Essential Oil)

NOTE: The description is tongue-in-cheek. It smells like a wonderful blend of Frankincense, Benzoin, Nutmeg, and Clove. It doesn't actually smell like sweaty old man pants. As of 3 March 2015, we have been averaging about 2-3 inquiries per week as to why we would make a soap that smells like an older gentleman's trousers....

Ingredients: Beef Tallow, Stearic Acid, Distilled Water, Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential Oil, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Milk, Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate

From google translate: I wanted a soap for the winter, with a slightly more powerful smell than the usual citrus. Being sure by the criticism of the quality of soap that is Stirling, it was not of the aroma. I loved, very spicy, smell of old pantry. I do not know if for everyone, but for me.

I love the scent of Ben Franklin but think the soap might have been more aptly named "New England Antique Store." It's warm with an old-woody/spicy top note and a mid note that lands where antique varnish meets root beer (somehow). Like other Sterling soaps, the various notes really light up beautifully when they are in a warm lather and smell significantly different than the way they do when you sniff the cold soap in the container.

This was my first Stirling soap and wow was I blown away. It most certainly does not smell like gamey pantaloons but it does smell like a root beer float except deeper. Love that Stirling lather. Post shave November s great
