Product Description

This razor is hand crafted from solid 303 stainless steel here in the USA.

The Atlas handle with the classic “Barber Pole” look is 3″ long and weighs 56 grams.
The Kronos handle is 3½” long and weighs 71 grams.
The Colossus Handle is 4″ long and weighs 86 grams.
The Bamboo handle is 3½” long and weighs 56 grams. The handle has a nice matte finish, providing a secure grip without the need for knurling.

S1:  The Slant Head is a mid aggressive, yet mild, solid bar razor with a .61 mm blade gap.
S2:  The Slant Open Comb Head is a mid aggressive, yet mild, open comb razor with a .61 mm blade gap.

This tool is wonderfully machined with very tight tolerances. The blade seats precisely in the head with symmetrical blade exposure. This razor is easy to master because the shave angle is very intuitive. In addition the razor “sings” like no other. This audible feedback is helpful in maintaining a proper shave angle.

The Colossus handle also fits most current production DE razors.

Note: Slant baseplates require a slant cap. While you can assemble a razor with a slant base plate and a standard cap, the blade gap will not be even across the length of the blade.

The R1 Collosus OVERNIGHT rose to the top as my favorite razor. It is the perfect balance between aggression and smoothness. My favorite razor was the Muhle 41, however the build quality of this is off the charts, and the efficiency is outstanding. The price may make you hesitate, however once you see and use it, is well worth the money. I have another one on the way with the H1.
