I have been using DR Harris soaps for years and have tried six of their fragrances. For me, these soaps perform better than any other. They whip up enough lather to shave three or four people. The lather is slick, cushiony and protective. The weakness of the brand is that the fragrances are too mild. For whatever it’s worth, I think Marlboro and Arlington are the best Harris’ fragrances. Fragrance is an important part of shaving, but I will accept the tradeoff any day because none of the 50 (more or less) soaps and creams I have tried shave as well as Harris.

The previous poster described this as sandalwood. That is not correct. Windsor is of an entirely different family of fragrances. It is citrusy, like Arlington, but with a bit more complexity, and notes of vetiver and black pepper. Honestly, this soap smells like a bar of Ivory soap with a faint hint of a sporty cologne. If you like the scent, it is best to follow up with the matching aftershave, as it does not have any staying power, after the shave. Performance-wise, this is a top shelf soap. It lathers well, and gives plenty of slickness. I would give it five stars, but the fragrance is just too subtle. I prefer the cream version.

Mild sandalwood type of scent, I like it. Lather is slick and cushiony. I use Tabac and this soap gives just as good a shave with a nicer scent. Whips a nice lather quickly.Triple milled puck lasts quite a while despite it's size. I plan trying other D.R. Harris soaps after this gets used up like Sandalwood and Arlington. Shave on D.E.brothers. I feel this soap is top notch.
