BSE is unassuming...because it doesn't have to be. It knows who and what it is without having to make a big deal about it. It is uniquely itself, present without being overbearing. Suitable for all seasons and occasions, it presents differently in soap, splash, and EdP.

Vetiver is present in the soap under a refined blend of black amber, rosewood, and cardamom. The splash allows the oakmoss, bergamot, and water lily to shine more prominently. The EdP is the most pure expression of BSE, hitting up front with its sharper side but rounding out during dry-down into a sophisticated blend of woods, amber, and background florals.

BASE: Milksteak is my tongue-in-cheek name for the culmination of all of my soap crafting experience to date. While the name may be whimsical, it was an incredibly difficult decision to deprecate Bison and Icarus - one I would not make without full confidence that I was releasing not only the best soap base I have ever developed, but one of the finest soap bases ever created.

Over three years of customer feedback, research, theory crafting and, of course, love, went into this soap base. I focused on ease of use (softer than Icarus), slickness, and post-shave - all the hallmarks of a great soap.
