Product Description

Propaganda, shaving soap for the revolution! It’s time to drop your kiddy plastic razors and shave like a grown up! Time to ditch the cans of chemical goo, grab your brush and shave like it’s 1955! Let the notes of vanilla, sandalwood, mandarin, patchouli and musk give you the courage to revolt against bad shaves!

The newest version of our shaving soap is now available!

WHAT IS VOLUME 3?

We wanted to transition from making a high quality vegan shaving soap to making the absolute best vegan shaving soap available and after months of testing we finally settled on a new ingredient list and method of production that we felt was worth making the transition. The addition of slippery elm bark, aloe, soy wax, jojoba oil and sunflower oil allows us to make an amazingly slick soap that leaves your face feeling soft and so moisturized that you don’t need a post shave treatment.

All of our shaving soap is hand made with natural vegan ingredients including an abundance of luxury conditioning oils to help keep your skin healthy and moisturized. We don’t want to just help you have a great shave, we want to help you have a great face!

Let me start of with a big WOW!!! There isn’t a lot of chatter about this soap on social media. Lucky that I found some here at Maggards. That, and of course the amazing cover art interested me a lot, therefore I wanted to try Propaganda. Like I started, this soap just impressed me a lot! When opening the jar you smell something dark sweet and a bit similar to musk. Looking at the ingredients this is also what it should smell like (sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli, Egyptian musk and mandarin). Not only me, but my girlfriend also loves the smell of this soap . Very intriguing scent. Perhaps a bit like Noble Otter BarrBarr, however a bit less spicy. The strength right out of the jar is about mid, 4 to 5 I would say. Trying to create a lather is no problem, this is a lather bomb straight away. However that is not the lather you need. ,Too much bubbles with too much volume. To get the right slickness and thickness, you really need to work for it. So be patient and not shave with your first sight of lather . The scent strength while shaving remains about a 5 which is fine of course. Personally I wouldn’t mind it if the strength was a bit higher, specially with this amazing smell . Post shave is good. You’ve got yourself a nice clean shave with a magnificent smell which lasts for a couple of hours. I think that, if you like the smell, you definitely should also the aftershave or EdT!! A soap to recommend? Most definitely!!

This is one of my favorite soaps, and I have many. Its main thing, is that somehow protects you so nice, and hydrates you, without being extra heavy and oily on the face like many-still great- artisan soaps. Also, it is much firmer than most soaps. Think of Catie`s bubbles luxury base style. Its scent, is really nice, but unfortunately not as strong I would like. It is very well balanced. But because of the vanilla I guess, it sticks with you and you can smell it on your hands for some hours. You may find some scent similarities with Stirling Barbershop. Not so sweet neither intence, and more citrusy, but you get an idea.
What I also love about this soap, is the face feeling the next morning. Yes, the next. It still is so soft and pampered, without being oily. Thumbs up!
If you haven`t try that soap, give it a chance. This is an amazing all around formula.

Once again a high quality soap with addition of elm bark, aloe, soy wax, jojoba oil and sunflower oil
Scent notes of vanilla, sandalwood, tangerine, patchouli and white musk. The fragrance is simply fantastic!
The scent has similarity to the Stirling Barbershop, not quite so obtrusive.

I bought this mostly because I liked the cover art. Turned out to be a great choice. The puck smells almost exactly like “Pre de Provence 63.” The scents that I get are a blend of wood-leather-vanilla, all intermingled with a nice soapiness that reminds me of using saddle-soap on leather goods. Clean and masculine. The puck is harder than most artisan soaps, definitely not a cream or a croap. Performance is top notch. Overall, this one is a keeper.
