I love this razor! This is my first double edge and it worked beautiful. No issues. I used a Personna Red blade and it cut nice and close.

This is my very first safety razor so I have nothing to compare it to, but as a first time traditional wet shaver, I absolutely LOVE this razor! I have been looking at safety razors for a while now and was so excited to find a new razor in feminine colors (the only ones I could find before were the Lady Gillette razors from the 60s/70s). This seems to be a very well made, quality razor, and it looks absolutely beautiful in person. It’s a lot heavier than I expected, which I think is a big plus, and the blade locks in tight and does not move around at all. I was a little concerned that I would have grip issues with it since the handle is smooth and does not have any knurling, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that even with wet soapy hands, I maintained a nice grip on the razor and it never even came close to slipping out of my hands. I was also worried that there would be a huge learning curve and that I would find that I hate traditional wet shaving and end up wasting my money on all this stuff I’ll never use again. Well, I’m happy to report that shaving like your great granddaddy is fun as hell!!! And it’s not hard at all. The only tricky part was keeping the proper angle at all times (I had to redo some areas because the blade didn’t make enough contact due to the angle I was holding it). My legs and pits feel super soft and smooth and I’m actually looking forward to my next shave, rather than dreading it. Get one, you won’t regret it!!!
