I have hard water and this soap whips into a slick foamy lather allowing a close comfortable shave. Great performer matched with fantastic scent. It leaves my face soft and smooth for the rest of the day.

Customer review

This soap has a nice lime smell and I really wanted it to work...but for the life of me I could not get a good lather that would provide decent slickness and cushion. I ended up using this as a shower soap rather than a shave soap. I live in an area with hard water and if I still had it I would consider trying it with distilled water. Another trick that sometimes works with difficult to lather soaps is using it as a shave stick then facial lathering. I have read good reviews of Edwin Jagger soaps so they must work for others and perhaps my experience is unusual.

Customer review

I am generally quite pleased with Edwin Jagger products, and I really enjoy the scent of this soap. The lather, however, leaves a lot to be desired (as in, it is difficult to work up much lather). The lather issue may be related to the water hardness in my area, but I don't have the same problem with other soaps. I have been much more pleased with the How-to-Grow-a-Moustache lime soap. Although I should probably give the EJ shave cream in this scent a try (may solve the lather issue).

Excellent scent, one of my favorites, but it doesn't play well with water that has any hardness.
