    :

Have had this brush for over a year now. Absolutely love it. Great backbone but also extremely soft. My go-to brush and I have nice silver tips as well. Have found that I reach for this and now find $100+ silvertips to be floppy and harder to later. This is outstanding for face lathering.

I just wish Maggards had more handle options – both with this and with the “black and silver” synthetic heads. I would have 3 or 4 more of them.

Hands down the best synthetic I have used.

I was ready to give up on synthetic brushes and was ready to swear allegiance to bristle, only, until I tried this brush. Try one; you won’t be sorry.

    :

I’ve had synthetic brushes before, but this one is the best I’ve had so far. I love how solid the handle feels and i can get a good grip on it. The fibers are soft, yet have a nice, firm backbone. This is a little on the large side, but I prefer it. For the $, this is a no brainer

    :

This is my second brush and first synthetic. I must say I’m blown away! My first brush was a $30 pure badger brush that I always thought was scratchy, but I just assumed that all pure badger brushes were like that. I didn’t really want to spend $50 on a new badger brush, so I figured I’d give the synthetic ones a go, and boy am I glad I did! This brush is SUPER soft, holds water much better, and lathers easier than my old badger brush. The handle also looks very nice and I’m proud to keep out on the sink. I don’t think I’ll need another brush after finding this one.

    :

Awesome brush. The pictures don’t do the handle any justice. This brush is beautiful in person. Had some shedding which I’m not used to with synthetic brushes but other than that I’m super happy with this thing.

    :

    Google Translate:
It’s a good gut to price. The design of the handle is not very good in my own hand. Too high loft of my hint, which at a time gets a little loose feeling. Good for a ride when you do not have to worry about it any more.

  7. 4 out of 5

    :

This brush is very good. The only reason I give it four stars and not five is that it does not seem to have as much backbone as another synthetic I have. I have only used the brush four times so far and it may stiffen in time. I find it a little sloppy face lathering and not quite as productive when bowl lathering compared to the other brush (same size head). For the record, another reviewer stated that he felt this brush was superior to the other make (not going to state the name) so this is certainly my personal opinion and at least one other here would disagree with me.

    :

I just got a Marble 24mm and used it today. I have had other synthetics and gave them all away. This knot splays easily and loads enough soap for 3 passes. I am keeping this one.

    :

Fantastic brush! It holds water surprisingly well, lathers cream and hard soap like a champ whether in a bowl, in the hand, or on the face. When you’re done, it’s rinsed clean very quickly, easily sheds the excess water, and dries on the stand completely in just a few hours. The handle is not the most ergonomic, but serviceable and very attractive. I’ve shed no hairs at all. The knot is stiff enough to other hard soap, but the softest face feel I’ve ever had, the best of both worlds! Despite the backbone, the brush is easily splayed for cleaning or extracting the last bit of lather. Between the lather, face feel, ease of use and cleaning, and price, this brush puts animal (and other synthetic) brushes costing several times more to shame. Just get one. Oh, it plays super well with the Maggard Stainless Razor Stand, and looks great next to my 1930s Gillette “NEW”.

    :

    An amazingly good value brush.
It creates mounds of lather effortlessly in every soap I’ve tried it on. Very soft tips. Not a ton of backbone, but I expected that going in.
Very well made. Has shed 3 fibers in 2 months of use.
Only downside is that it is bigger than I like as I have a beard..
Will PIF to the wife and order the 22mm.

Great brush for the price, but sheds a little much. It’s very soft for a synthetic and the handle is a nice marble green

The Maggard Razors 24mm Synthetic Shaving Brush with Marble Handle, along with a handful of shaving soaps, was my very first purchase with Maggard Razors, February 2016. Doing business with Maggards has been a pleasure every time since then.

Because this is a synthetic brush, one does have to add water more frequently when working the lather. Considering the positives about this brush, the water issue is trivial. Just dip the tip of the brush in water every so often or sprinkle a few drops of water from your fingertips.

The Plisson-like knot is pillow soft at the tips yet has just enough backbone to lather triple-milled soaps with relative ease. If you are accustomed to creams and croaps, the Maggard Razors Synthetic brush effortlessly whisks them into rich lather.

I rotate through my silver-tip badger, boar, and MR 24 Marble synthetic one brush per month so I have roughly four months of use on the synthetic to date. Perhaps one or two bristles have come out; I’m not sure. Whatever the amount, if any, it wasn’t enough to be worth remembering.

After use, the synthetic brush dries-out quicker than the natural hair brushes. There is no initial damp animal hair smell in a brand new synthetic either. When using a pre-shave oil or particularly greasy creams, I prefer to use the synthetic brush since, unlike natural hair brushes, there are no scales on the bristles to be clogged by the oils or grease.

The Maggard Razors 24mm Synthetic Shaving Brushes are low cost, low maintenance and versatile yet perform well and feel good on the skin. Of the other brushes I have, the Maggard Razors 24mm Synthetic Shaving Brushes are the ones I highly recommend for newcomers to this way of shaving.

Just an amazing brush! A ‘must have’ for all fans of synthetic shaving brushes.

I hardly need to add to all the great reviews for this brush but I will anyway because I was blown away when I opened it. The photos simply do not do this brush justice. I am a huge fountain pen fan. Custom foundation pen manufacturers will make the barrels, caps and sections from beautiful swirled resins. This brush handle reminds me of some of my very expensive fountain pens. It is absolutely stunning.
I did notice that I lost about 5 “hairs” today when I was trying it out. I am hoping this is just because it is new. My only other synthetic brush is the Kong by Stirling and i have had it about a year and never lost a single hair. The Kong is just a little bit too big. This one is the perfect size and doesn’t seem to waste soap. I am going to keep the 5 star rating and assume the lost hairs is just because it is new. If my brush starts going bald I will update the review. I suspect it is probably fine. Either way, if there is a problem, I know Maggard has my back. Their customer service is outstanding. I fear the day I leave my iPad open to my account page and my wife sees how much I have spent on this website. Ha ha! Thanks, Maggard! Awesome product!

    :

This Brush is awesome. Nice and soft tips, with enough backbone to enjoy good lather and a good shave. The amazing quality of the resin handle makes it easy to hold and gives a good grip to enjoy lathering. For this price it’s a really good deal. I tried boar, badger and another synthetic and this one is my favorite until now. So maybe I’ll take a look on the big brother with 26mm too XD

Awesome brush at a even better price! This brush lathers great and is super soft. You wont regret this one.

    :

I don’t have a great deal of experience with brushes but I think this one is pretty damn good. It’s soft, lathers effortlessly and holds a good amount of lather for multiple passes; all for a great price. Maggard’s also shipped it out impossibly quick.

I will probably be tempted to buy others but I am certain that this will be the last brush I actually need.

    :

Just had my first shave with this brush. Had been using a badger Escali brush for over 3 years. I like that this can be hung on my same shave stand at the waist of the brush handle and not on the knot. I am impressed with the backbone and lather. Its big, perfect for my daily head and face shaves.

    :

I bought this brush to replace my Omega boar brush! This brush is amazing! Feels so good on the face. This is the first synthetic I’ve used and I am impressed. The price is spot on and the performance is stellar. Definitely give this a try if you’re looking for something new.

    :

I absolutely love this brush. This is my first synthetic and coming from a badger brush I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how well I was able to build a lather with it. For the price there is nothing that comes close. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot, I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.

    :

I’ve used a Razororck synthetic before and really loved it, but always thought it was an unattractive brush. This one on the other hand performs better and is sexy as hell! I love this brush and for the price you must own it, no excuses not to!

    :

I am glad that I purchased the Maggard 24mm shaving brush. The brush is aesthetically beautiful, the marble finish complements the elegant handle. I didn’t have any problems gripping the handle as it fits comfortably in the hands. The knot is very soft it has a pillow like soft feeling on the skin. It has easily lathered every soap and cream that I own. I am surprised at the high quality of this brush for the low price. The majority of reviews, that I have read about the brush, have been positive and I agree with them. The Maggard 24mm brush has surpassed my expectations, I still can’t believe how inexpensive it is.

    :

This is not my first synthetic. I owned 4 prior to purchasing this Maggard synthetic. I had owned a 22mm Plisson, 24mm Whipped Dog, 26mm Sterling Kong and 28mm HIS. None of these 4 ever lost a bristle. I had given a friend of mine the 24mm Whipped Dog, a couple of soaps and a razor in hopes of getting him to convert from the canned goo and cartridges. This 24mm Maggards I purchased to fill the void of a 24mm synthetic in my den. On the first shave 6 bristles came loose and on the second shave 3 bristles came loose. I used a brand new artisan soap on these 2 shaves. I don’t think the soap had anything to do with the loss of the bristles but I will use one of my well used top shelf Strop Shoppe soaps for the 3rd shave to see if the loss of bristles continue. For this reason I only gave this brush 3 stars. It did whip up a enormous amount of lather with ease in a very short period of time. It is not as soft as my other synthetics but will see if with continued usage the softness increases.

    :

Though I own (and love) my RazoRock Plissoft Monster, I must admit, I wish I’d ordered this Maggard’s first. I believe it’s the same synthetic material but my god is this brush gorgeous! I also think the 24mm version of this knot is perfect. I definitely would not have ordered the Monster but oh well. Two great brushes. Still, this Maggard’s will be taking the Monster’s place on my counter. What a damn fine brush. The handle fits just perfectly in my hand and the 24mm knot seems to have more backbone than the 26mm knot. KILLER brush. This is my first order and Maggard’s definitely has my business!

    :

This brush is a beast, the difference between Maggard’s 24 and 22mm is quite a bit. I wear a 7.5 hat and have a big head and this is a pretty big brush. This is your brush If your a person who shaves your body from head to toe and you wish to cover your entire real estate quickly. This synthetic brush is better than the natural fiber brushes and I’m not a vegan. Overall I prefer the smaller brush for face shaving and think anyone would be pleased to have either one of these brushes.

    :

Fantastic brush! I’m seriously tempted to buy another and keep it in the box, in case something ever happens to the one I have now. I’ve face lathered and mug lathered with mine, and it works great for either style. Highly recommended!

    :

This thing just got Atomic with my soap, it just exploded with lather from a regular loading. I seriously had enough lather in my brush for at least 6 seriously thick lather passes and shaves, and probly more! Just buy one you wont regret it!

Wow…just wow. Fantastic craftsmanship and quality a fantastic company. We all know these brushes could be sold for x2-3 what they’re charging….I am and will be a client for life.

    :

Wow! What a great brush. Soft and stiff enough to handle cream or pucks. Good weight to the handle….speaking of the handle…the handle is gorgeous. Well worth more than it is being sold for. Maggard’s rock.

I have many different brushes, of varying quality, materials, and price-points, but this is the first brush I am taking time to give praise to online. It feels good in my hand, whips up effortless lather, then, when applying said lather to my face, feels like strokes of an angel’s wings !! Truly, I have only used it once, and I am already in love with it! And don’t forget how lovely it looks. A winner!

    :

This is really the first synthetic brush that I have purchased. Just when I started wet shaving I bought the cheapest brush I could find, a synthetic that was cheaply made. I got rid of it moved on to boar hair and have been stuck there ever since. I really liked the look of these brushes and decided to give them synthetics another try. Am so glad that I did, this brush is great. You will not be disappointed in this purchase!

I bought this for my wife in a DE starter kit. I thought I would give it a try before handing it over to her since I have never used a synthetic brush before (and she gave me permission). I was shocked that I like this brush better than all of my badger and boar bushes. I can admit that I haven’t owned a really high end badger brush, but I don’t think I will ever bother spending the money after trying this. I will be ordering many more of these for myself and as gifts. Great deal and yet another Maggard brand item I have fallen in love with.

    :

This is by far the best new synthetic out on the market, what the Maggard’s have done is not only brought a top quality knot but a custom style handle. Why pay $100-$200 for a brush when you can get this beauty. The Maggard’s do it only one way. The right way.

    :

$11.95 really. Everyone had better buy one right NOW!!! This is a great brush. Its big and very soft. It has good backbone and really lathers well. It is just as good as my Simpson Berkley badger brush. Thanks Maggard’s for another fine product.

Amazing brush and a equally amazing price. I think my silvertip and other brushes are going to be spending a lot of time on the shelf now

    :

Couple things: first off we had a blizzard here in NJ and I still got this brush delivered to my house faster than any delivery I think I’ve ever had. Unreal. Second the brush itself is an unbelievable brush, especially at this price. I have a couple badger and boar hair brushes and this is now my go-to after just a single shave. If u are like me wet shaving has taken what used to be a chore/drag and turned it into a type of hobby or “meditation”. When I’m shaving now it is the only thing I’m mentally doing or concentrating on, I’m not worried about or thinking about anything else in my life or my day to come. It’s 15-20 min everyday now where nothing else matters and all I’m concentrating on is a smooth shave. This brush added so much enjoyment to that process. It funny to say but it really did. So can’t be happier. Thx again!

    :

For the price, it gets no better. If you can’t lather with this thing right out of the box, watch a YouTube video then proceed to reap the benevolence of this brush. It ejects every last molecule of the awesome lather it produces to your face with all of the comfort of a lather covered pillow. I love my scritchy natural brushes to death but this brush will see the most use… And as I said, I can’t quite get over how cheap it is considering how wonderfully and easily functional it is.

    :

Best $12.00 brush on the market. The handle is beautiful. The overall size is large and the bristles are extremely soft. You really can’t go wrong with this brush. Give it a try.

  39. 5 out of 5

    :

Handle looks even better than in the picture. Extremely soft and comfortable on the face even when dry. Good backbone to work a fine lather. After about 5 shaves with it, haven’t noticed a single hair shed. Great brush, especially for the price.

Got this brush in an order. Really great knot, great lather. Better than my fine badger from AoS. Stop reading this review, buy it already.

    :

Great brush, but for the price it’a a steal! This is my first synthetic brush and I must say I wish I had tried one before now. Ridiculously soft bristles but still plenty of back bone. It beats the heck out of the similar priced badger brush I started with.

Brush large, and the handle is giant. Far bigger than any of my other brushing, including a 24mm Badger.
