Product Description

The MR5 has a unique, grip-friendly handle that is super comfortable to use.  The two grips are positioned in the two most common spots that people use when they shave, depending on whether they like to hold the razor close to the head or in the middle of the handle.  It feels awesome in the hand and I’m very excited to be able to offer it. The finish of the MR5 is a satin matte stainless steel.  It won’t flake or chip like Chrome could over the years. The head is a standard Maggard chrome plated cast zinc alloy. The knurling is accurate and defined.

Quality materials and a great price – it is difficult to go wrong with a Maggard Razors DE. These traditional double edge safety razors are ideal for the beginner, while seasoned wet shavers will appreciate the high quality handles and smooth shaving heads.

Heads: We now offer 4 different heads to choose from. Each comes with its own shaving characteristics.

  1.  The V3 Standard (2): This head is available in Chrome, Gray, or Black Finish. Best for beginners, this head offers a mild-moderate shave with excellent efficiency. Shaves just as well as many of the big name brands with no noticeable difference in quality
  2. The V2 Open Comb: Another great option for beginners, the V2 Open comb shaves nearly identical to the Parker 24C/26C heads. Super comfortable, and super efficient – this heads gives the results of the aggressive razors without any of the harshness.
  3. The V3A Aggressive: This head is available in Gray, or Black Finish. Enthusiasts and those looking for a more aggressive razor to plow through the toughest of beards may opt for the V3A – a highly efficient shaving head that offers plenty of blade exposure. With some time and skill we feel many will enjoy this head. Comes in a beautiful matte gray plating finish.
  4. The Maggard Slant Head: Released in September 2016, our new Slant Razor Head is a great way to try out a slant head design without breaking the bank.

Most of the Maggard Razors line come equipped with solid 303 stainless steel handles. The heads of the entire Maggard line are chrome plated cast zinc alloy.

Quality Control:
We have visually inspected every single razor for manufacturing flaws. Many heads we test fit a blade to ensure blade exposure and gap consistency. You won’t find any bubbled up plating or overly rough edges on your new razor. The heads thread smoothly, and on every razor we have shave tested, each one was consistent in shaving from both sides of the blade. We stand behind these razors – so if you find a flaw that affects your shave, simply contact us and we will resolve the issue!

Handle Compatibility:
Our safety razors use standard threading that is compatible with almost all other 3 piece razors (Edwin Jagger, Merkur, Muhle, Gillette, iKon, Above the Tie, just to name a few).

Shave with it, enjoy it, and remember, this is a budget razor! It is cheap enough to buy one for all of your friends and help expand our community. This is the reason we’ve made these available and the reason for their great success!

I have the MR5 handle with the V3 head. I used to shave with the Feather razor AS-D2 witch is a very smooth and forgiving razor ( and more expensive ) and I wanted something with a little more bite and this was it! It only took me a week to adapt to the different shaving angle (no cuts, just a few small bloopers). The V3 head is Mild aggressive and efficient, now I shave every day with this one with no irritation, and I use the Feather for traveling. The handle is conformable and just the right weight for me.

I have an EJ Kelvin which i like. I wanted something with a little more weight and size. Bull’s Eye. Excellent shave, a little aggressive but excellent ! If it’s ever too much , I can always swap out the Kelvin head for the V3. Maggard Razors are awesome !

    Hello all,
I feel compelled to write a 2nd review for this razor. I have had this razor going on 3 yrs now, and still all I can say is WOW !! The fit and finish is still flawless! The contoured handle is very comfy. This razor is just pleasure to use. For the price you cant beat it.

This was my 1st DE razor and I couldn’t have pick a better one!! Fit and finish is outstanding. I paired the MR5 with the V3 head not knowing too much about different heads being mild or aggressive. Now I want the OC, V3A, and the Slant. I have since purchased some vintage razors but I seem to find my way back to this one because those just weren’t working for me at all. I am very happy with Maggards and their products overall as a whole. Excellent prices, products, and service. Top notch company in my book…

  5. 5 out of 5

My favorite of the current set of Maggards handles. The MR5 is heavy enough to add balance and moderate aggression to a light head, while also not being too over the top in terms of making a stainless or pot metal head too lightly balanced. The MR5 has semi-bamboo styling indents on it mixed in with metal ridges every few millimeters, giving the user lots of places to put fingers and very good control of the handle even with wet or soapy hands.

Build quality and finish are very good. I’ve used this with all four of the Maggard’s heads and like it best with the more moderate designs – the V3 and slant head work well. The more aggressive OC and V3A work better with longer handles.

My one wish is that the MR5 was slightly longer, but the existing length is pretty standard in wet shaving handles these days. A longer handle keeps lather off my knuckles and helps tame very aggressive heads more. But all in all, the MR5 is a winner and a very elegant yet useful design.

    Nice hefty handle.
Open comb is a bit aggressive.

  7. 3 out of 5

Very nice razor and handle. I own several razors including an EJ DE89, Parker 96R, Matador El Gordo Negro, and HTGAM Symmetry open comb. I bought this razor looking for an open comb razor which is efficient but less harsh than the open comb Symmetry. I absolutely love the shave delivered by the El Gordo Nerro but the very short handle is not for me. For me, the MR5 handle combination with OC V2 head has been disappointing. In my experience, the head is mild and too inefficient. Having big hands, the handle is also too short and not comfortable to hold. I expected a shave similar to the Symmetry but slightly less aggressive. For me, the OC V2 head is less aggressive and less efficient than the DE 89. I initially used a Personna Red blade for two shaves. I changed the handle and loaded a Gillette Silver Blue blade with much better results. I still encountered irritation on my neck because of several passes being required for a close shave.

The stylish MR5 is now the razor on my shave stand. The handle definitely has style and a good weight to it. Fits my hand perfectly. The curved handle just works brilliant ! The razor head I would say is mildly aggressive I really get close shaves 2 passes and clean up ( this razor has weight let it do the work no pressure needed ) Would buy again and recommend. My top cap had a defect contacted Maggard they took care of me right away. Great customer service.

  9. 5 out of 5

I will say that this is a well built razor at a very good price. I think I bought it just for the handle, it looks great and the design is such that you can get a good grip on this razor even when your hands are soapy. One thing to remember: this is a heavy and somewhat more aggressive razor than an Edwin Jagger E89(?) or a Merkur 34C. Some reviewers have said that this is a good razor for beginners. I agree for no other reason that if you put any kind of pressure on this razor while shaving, the bloodshed that will result will teach a rookie never to do that again. Can’t beat this razor when paired with a mild blade like a Derby and a soap with good slickness, but as they say your mileage may vary.

  10. 5 out of 5

Love the handle. It’s easy to hold, has good weight and looks outstanding. Since, I normally shave with a straight razor I won’t say much about the aggressiveness of this razor except to say that it’s just a tad more aggressive than the Merkur 34C. For the money it’s a really great deal. You should have one.

  11. 5 out of 5

There is a very good reason why every reviewer gives this razor 5 stars, it is that good.

  12. 5 out of 5

Fantastic Handle! Quality and efficiency are put together to provide you a very nice shave. A very reasonable price makes of this handle a must.
I ordered this one with the V3 new head and the combination was perfect. The V3 is a moderately aggressive head and I prefer those more than that. Nevertheless, it is a very efficient head and this means a pleasurable and close shave.
    Congrats Maggard !!!

  13. 5 out of 5

The head is a bit mild for where I am on this experience. If you are new or are into multiple passes, add to cart. The finish and function are perfect. The handle is an ergonomic masterpiece.

  14. 5 out of 5

This razor is great. I have a habit of holding razor very lightly to avoid applying too much pressure. This handle does not slip. It is the most comfortable handle I own. The cloased bar head gives a very smoth and close shave without being too aggressive. Would not say mild but no irritation on my neck. I also have the old style open comb that is too mild for me but may be fine for someone who shaves everyday. I see they just came out with a new one.
I’d also like to add customer service is the best. Extremely understanding and helpful.

  15. 5 out of 5

Ok i have both the heads, V2 of the bar and the opencomb. The O/C had bad alignment and i was sent a replacement that worked a treat extremely quickly. Of the two the humble BAR is a my favourite, the O/C is very mild so dont be put off getting both heads, even if you only get the 1 handle…

The MR5 handle however is a thing of beauty and is IMO unquestionably the best handle ever. Yes, better than any HEMPLE, ATT, WOLF or other handle and i’ve outfitted most of my DE razors with it. End of story as it has awesome looks but near perfect design for grip and rotation of the head to use the other side without ever loosing balance or grip. You never feel as if its going to slip or fumble. This handle is the best. Ive got others but they remain unused, this is my goto razor handle of choice!

  16. 5 out of 5

A little on the heavy side, but hold so well. Your fingers always find a good and comfortable grip, upright or upside down. Maggard head always give good shave. So now have to choose between the perfect balance of my MR11 and the perfect grip of the MR5… Nah, will use both!

  17. 5 out of 5

For the money, this razor really is hard to beat. I love the handle and how easy it is to grip. Despite the somewhat longer handle, with the design, it is still rather easy to maneuver around my face and neck. I have the v1 head, and I found the description to be accurate. It’s a fairly mild shaver, and blade alignment actually isn’t a problem whatsoever. The extra weight of the handle helps get the shave a little closer despite the milder head design. Really a great buy.

I just received it yesterday. Fast international service to Sweden. I ordered it hoping the unusual handle shape and heft would make shaving more comfortable for my nerve-damaged hand. It turns out to provide a very comfortable grip for me, making shaving much easier. In addition, it shaves very well; closely and smoothly.

Just received my MR5 yesterday, July 6 2015 and could not wait to try it. Needless to say, great shave and the handle really impressed me, good weight and the shape made it feel like it was made to fit my hand. I am 63yo and have used a lot of shaving products, and have to say your product proves you dont need a fancy name brand to get a good product. Keep up the good work.

So, I started out this DE adventure a little over a month ago with a RazoRock Mission, great razor but there were some problems with the blade alignment, turn the cap of the head one way and it was almost perfect, the other way… one edge was ridiculously mild and the other edge was scary aggressive. Then I bought an Edwin Jagger. Excellent starter razor, mild, with the right blade and soap it would yield a great shave, but I still got some irritation on my throat and not always BBS. Head shaves, however, were excellent. Then, I saw that the MR5 was back in stock and decided to give it a try. First off, and excuse the caps but… THE MR5 HANDLE IS THE ULTIMATE DE HEAD SHAVING HANDLE!!! IT TRULY IS!!! The combination of grip indentation and knurling is a stroke of genius, and as it’s stainless steel, it should last a lifetime, or a few. You can change grips without fear with this handle. The head, however, is almost equally impressive, but for different reasons. The fit is great, finish is as described, thorough but not cosmetically perfect, blade alignment is excellent, almost perfect, but it’s perfectly aggressive. I just had probably my best throat shave so far with a DE razor, BBS with two passes and touch up. In addition, I had a three pass plus touchups bbs on my head. Only three small nicks that stopped almost as quickly as they started, I barely count that. I couldn’t even find them after. And all this with a Personna Red! I literally could never buy another razor and if all of my shaves from here on out were the same as today, for the rest of my life, I’d be happy. Amazing razor you guys have here, and the fact that it’s under $30 is just gravy. Plus I have a stainless steel handle that I love, for life. Replacement heads are just under $7. I’m totally happy with this razor. I’ll be recommending it to any head shaver I encounter. Thanks guys for helping to make shaving a pleasure and not a chore.

Pick this Up the MR5 the other day and love it. It is great for those days i don’t have enough time to use my straight razor and get just as close. I won’t be going back to a store bought razor again. The fit and wight are perfect for that close comfortable shave.

  22. 5 out of 5

The MR5 is now my everyday shaver..I prefer this razor over my Merkur 34C and even some vintage razors I have in my collection. Every shave has been exceptionally smooth and close. The MR5 is hefty and feels great in the hand. Pair this razor with a Gillette Silver Blue and you’ll have a perfect shave. Thank you Maggard for putting out affordable and high quality razors!

  23. 5 out of 5

First let me confess that I didn’t buy my MR5 here but from an individual who puts together starter kits to earn extra money and share the joy of wet shaving with newbies like me. I fell in love with the idea of this specific razor handle when I stumbled on Maggard’s about a month ago but my eagerness to dive into wet shaving won out over my patience after weeks of waiting for the MR5 handle to be restocked. So when I found a kit on etsy that let me try a fair number of products (mostly small samples but couple of full size items, plus the MR5 and the Kent synthetic brush) for just couple bucks over the cost of just the razor & brush alone, I pounced on it. I will, however, be buying more of the Maggard shave soaps (and no doubt other products too) here very soon because I really like the Maggard’s soap I got in the kit and can’t wait to try their other scents.

Okay, confession over, back to our regularly scheduled review of the fabulous MR5… I believe mine has the v2.0 head as the seller said it was purchased here just before it last went out of stock… and also because there is zero “play” or “wiggle” when inserting OR using the blade which was apparently an issue with the v1.0 closed comb heads. The finish is remarkably good for this price point. I’d heard that from others but it was still very impressive to see firsthand. No scratches, blemishes, bubbles or bumps in the plating of the head whatsoever. It screws together easily and snugly with no alignment issues.

The handle is gorgeous and a joy to hold. It’s a nice heavy piece of stainless steel with great balance. The finger grooves are perfectly placed for a variety of grips. The knurling is precise and deep and very grippy without being the least bit uncomfortable. I’ve had zero problems hanging onto and controlling this razor even when I intentionally got my hands super slick (with both oil & slick lather) to test the grip quality. It is a somewhat short handle, but not too short… IMHO it’s a great balance between maneuverability and control. My own hands are on the large side of average with longer than average fingers, so unless you have extremely big mitts with really thick fingers I think there’s a pretty good chance that the handle length won’t be much of an issue for you and even then I’d say it would be worth trying (if it didn’t work for you there are plenty of folk who would be willing to buy this handle from you).

I was able to get a damn fine shave (best of my life) in 3 passes even though my lather was a bit subpar the first time out (not only am I new to wet shaving but that Kent synthetic holds a LOT more water than I first expected or realized… I did better on subsequent attempts). Despite my poor quality lather during that first shave with this beauty I kept having to check to be sure I was actually reducing hair (I WAS!) because I could not feel the blade at all until I got to the 3rd pass (ATG) and even then I could barely feel it during most of the pass. Maybe my homemade preshave was better than it had any right to be (pretty much a “let’s see what’s hiding in the bathroom vanity” sort of affair), maybe the Maggard soap is just that fantastic despite my poor lather skills, maybe I lucked out and blindly chose the perfect blade for my hair and skin, or maybe this razor isn’t so much “extremely mild” as it is “moderately mild and extremely deceptively smooth” (for lack of a better way to put it). Even with my limited experience and skill I’ve never had more than one very small area that had just a hint of ATG stubble remaining after 3 passes (always been my “trouble spot” due to an odd patch of coarse multi-directional growth). If I’d been willing to risk razor burn with another partial pass or some blade buffing I think I could have achieved true BBS.

For the record, all my shaves so far I’ve used:
PRE-SHAVE: a blend of castor oil and Alba Kukui Nut oil (which is itself a blend of several oils) followed by a quick rub ATG with a Mickey Mouse shaped glycerin soap I found in a clearance bin years ago but never used
    BLADE: Gillette Silver Blue
SOAP: Maggard’s Chai Tea soap (no longer available apparently, glad my kit had a full size tub)
POST-SHAVE: alum and finally Dove face lotion.
Out of curiosity (and incurable anal retentive perfefectionism), I plan to experiment with other blades and products one variable at a time over the next few weeks to try and figure out exactly what affects my results the most.

BOTTOM LINE: this razor is an amazing bit of kit for the price and the handle in particular is everything I hoped it would be. I originally planned to buy a second “higher end” razor head to use with this handle because I wasn’t so sure I’d be entirely satisfied with the Maggard head, but I’m happy to say that I like the whole razor so well that I’m going to spend the money on more cream and soap samples instead for the time being.

Just picked up this handle about a month ago and it has quickly risen to the top as my go to handle. This one has great balance and good heft to it. I have a couple of other handles that are just too light for my liking. The knurling on this handle is very good as well, just as good, if not better than my Weber Bulldog handle. I wish I had purchased this “Wave” handle sooner.

  25. 5 out of 5

I’ve been shaving with the MR5 for a little over a month, and I must say it’s a fantastic razor! It’s my first DE razor, and it’s proven to have just the right amount of aggressiveness: 3 passes (with, across, and against the grain) yields a true baby-smooth shave. I’ve yet to get any razor burn, and nick myself very rarely (only when I rush the shave).

Its weight makes it very easy to put little pressure when going WTG or XTG (just let the hand fall or move across, letting the weight of the handle push the blade to the skin), but going ATG requires a bit more care. Not so much as to make it inconvenient, though.

Also, I had read reviews stating that blade alignment is a problem with Maggard razors, but I’ve not experienced this to any significant degree. When placing a new blade, I can visually align the edges in less than a second.

For what it’s worth, I’ve found that Astra SP blades work very well with this Razor. Better than Personna reds and Gillette Silver Blue, both of which worked well, but not as well. I also tried Big Bens and Dorcos, and those were useless; too much tugging.

I ordered this razer on Memorial Day and received an email right away thanking me for my purchase. Then an hour later I received another email stating my order was ready to be shipped and had a tracking number. Obviously it wasn’t going to ship out but that speed of service means they appreciate their customers.

Fast forward to Friday and I get my MR5. The first thing that struck me was the weight of the handle it was hefty but manageable. Next I looked at the head and it was nicely polished. I was very excited to try this thing out. I shave my head and bought this razer particularly for the multiple hold points.

I put a fresh persona blade in and away I went. The different places to grip make this razer a joy to use. I was able to use multiple grip positions to get a fantastic shave! The head is mild enough for me to make several passes on those stubborn parts of my head, where the hair seemingly grows in 12 directions, without irritation.

I don’t have experience with many other razers, but I see any reason to keep looking. Amazing that Maggard can produce a razer that is this good for $25. I’m very pleased with this purchase – especially since they are sold out now!

Thank you Maggard for the awesome product at an extremely reasonable price with extraordinary service.

This just in: “Maggard Razors has done it again! ”

But seriously Maggard Razors has won me over again. I own several vintage Gillette safety razors and love the shaves but when I got my wife The Mr9 last year I tried it and really enjoyed the shave but my wife banned me from it, calling me a razor hog. I decided to get the Mr5 razor for myself and let me say that this is my best razor. The handle by it self is gorgeous and so well balanced in my hand. I have tried both v1 and v2 heads (as well several others) and have found that v2 is ever so lightly less aggressive but both give me a great shave. I can see years down the road, when I’m gone, my great grandchildren arguing about who gets my Mr5!

    “Get it while it lasts!”

  28. 5 out of 5

Superior razor with new version 2 head, I find the new heads in between an EJ89 series and the Merkur 34c in terms of aggressiveness. For $25.00 and a gorgeous stainless handle I challenge anybody to find a better razor. Ultra-Fast shipping and great customer service is the norm at Maggard’s

  29. 5 out of 5

I ordered the Maggard MR5 last Friday and when it was in my mailbox Monday morning, I said WOW!!!! Over the last 3 weeks, this is the third Maggard razor that I have hade the pleasure of shaving with, and, just like the first 2, this one certainly did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, the MR5 handle took shaving to another level for me. I had recently stated that I didn’t love to shave, I shaved because I had to, but in the course of shaving with this razor, I had to begin to rethink my position. This razor brought a certain artistic quality to my shave. The design of the MR5 handle is the perfect balance of contour, knurling, weight and balance and lends a surgical precision to the handling of this razor. I can honestly say that when my shave was over, I felt a little down, not from the quality of the shave or the performance of this razor, but because the pleasure of using this razor had ended all to quickly. This morning, I loved to shave with the Maggard MR5 razor!!!! A great razor from a company that has absolutely the finest customer service in the wet shaving industry. Thanks Maggard Razors for another fantastic razor and for the finest, most personal and fastest service I have ever received.

  30. 5 out of 5

This razor is worth the price for the handle alone. It’s a great handle. Nice weight, great grip, and not too long. The heads are pretty standard and very similar to the Merkur 34C I previously owned. Some manual adjustment of the blade for even exposure is necessary, but it shouldn’t budge after you set it and tighten up the handle.

  31. 5 out of 5

Absolutely worth every penny! And there aren’t a lot to collect either! This is one balanced, grippy, super smooth razor. A regular 2 pass, with a GSB, and it was darn near a BBS shave. Aggressive when it needs to be, but can get those tough spots with surgical precision….. And I honestly just bought it for the handle! What a great little razor, that still packs a wallop! Great customer service, and shipping took less time than my final purchase decision did…… Don’t hesitate art all!

So I just received this razor today and used once. I have been using safety razors for 15+ years. This razor is a beast amazing to hold and heavy. Its not super agressive I used less angle than normal not one nick alum block was good and cooling ..nice shave! Shipping was very fast great service to. Probably the most pleasant shopping experience online.Thank you!

  33. 5 out of 5

Honestly awesome. Unbeatable quality for the price. Don’t hesitate on this one, it shaves just as well as a DE89 or a 34C for about $10 less and a with way better handle.

  34. 5 out of 5

I love this razor. It shaves better than my merkur progress.Glad I ordered

  35. 5 out of 5

This is a great razor at ANY price! The knurling is deep preventing any slips when wet and the cutouts on the handle are placed perfectly apart. Your fingers naturally go there! The head is similar to a DE89 but a little more aggressive, a great shaver all around! This is the second one I’m buying if that says anything!

  36. 5 out of 5

3 month follow-up: excellent purchase then and excellent now. This a good razor for the rotation or everyday driver. I did own the MR8. While an excellent razor in its own right, the MR5 never gets heavy, easy to move around the face and gives me the same shave everyday. Pair it with Maggard lime or Barber and you don’t really need anything else. Do I have others? Yes, does this have a place in my shaving den? Absolutely. The handle alone is worth the price of admission.

  37. 5 out of 5

Just finished a fantastic shave with this razor. I love how heavy it is: 117 grams. This really makes it easy for me to just let the razor glide down my face. The design is funky, but I like the idea of both the knurling on the handle as well as the finger placements.

3 glorious passes later, I am nick free, irritation free, and wishing my hair grew 10 times faster. I’m ready to shave again!
Thanks for a great product at an outstanding price. If you’re looking for something at a fair price point to rival the DE89… this is it!

  38. 5 out of 5

My wife bought me this razor for Christmas and just like all of Maggard’s razors… it is AWESOME. The handle fits your hand perfectly which eliminates the worry of slippage or dropping.

  39. 5 out of 5

This is an outstanding razor. Weight and balance are perfect. It gives a very nice shave at a great price. In truth you will not find a better razor even near it’s price. Customer service is perfect and shipping is fast.

The MR-5 as all the other Maggard Safety Razors are of excellent quality and performance. The stainless steel handle on this safety razor has a great design and grip. No worries for any kind of slipping off your hands while shaving. I own the MR-3, MR-6, MR-8, MR-9, MR-18 and now this MR-5, and I am very happy and satisfied with all of them. You can use these safety razor handles with almost all your other razor heads (Edwin Jaggers, Muhles Parkers, etc…) You wont get a better deal out there for a safety razor of this quality (SS handle). I highly recommend them. Maggard Razors is your one-stop shopping website for excellent quality shaving products, prices and customer service. Happy Shavings to all in the upcoming new year 2015! Thank you Brad, Casie & Staff!

If you are looking for a stainless steel razor handle for less than the price of this one………YOU WON’T FIND ONE. I love the wavy handle. It totally fits where your fingers would normally be for easy control. This is my second razor from Maggard that I have ordered (I have the MR 8) and you WON’T be disappointed with their customer service as well as the rest of the products they offer on this site.

Short story about their customer service. I ordered some Fine platinum aftershave from these folks along with some other items. I was out of town in Seattle when it arrived, but my wife was home to get it, and as she usually does, she opened the package and the aftershave to see what it smelled like and loved it. The problem was they sent me Fine Fresh Vetiver instead of Platinum, but my wife had already opened it. I’m glad she liked it because after the seal had been broken we were stuck with it.

When I emailed Brad and Cassie about the mix up I asked them if they could set aside a bottle of Fine Platinum for me for my next order since I know they run out of the Fine AS quickly. Not only did they do that……..they actually gave me a $5 discount and free shipping and PROMPTLY sent me a bottle of Fine Platinum. If THAT doesn’t convince you that these two are good folks I have no idea what to tell you.

I ordered this razor, with a couple of packs of razors less than 3 days ago, and got them today!! What can I say….. this razor IS INCREDIBLE !!!!!!! balance is great, shave is great, finish is great!!!!! I used one of the Shark blades I had ordered, so easy to used…effortless!! Gave me exactly the shave I’ve been looking for. The folks at Maggard’s are great!!!!!! My only disappointment is my beard doesn’t grow fast enough to use this razor every day.
Thank you Cassie and Penny. I am so very pleased!!!!

Great razor! The contour of the handle provides for a great grip and control of the razor, the weight and balance is perfect. You can’t beat this razor for the money!

I own quite a few razors; Merkur, Edwin Jagger, Muhle, etc. I must say this MR5 is beau coupe heavy. I can’t believe the shave it gave me for $25.00. It shaved as well as all of the above. I used Personna Lab blade, Razorock pre shave and my favorite cream. Everything was the same and the MR5 shaved so well I didn’t need a 3rd pass, just a little cleanup. I love this thing. It costs 1/3 of the others and shaves as well or better and made in the USA! Keep this great work up. I’m thinking of buying some of your cream (I prefer it to soap). Maggard is the way to go. Thank you for such and outstanding product at an outstanding price.

This razor is excellent! The handle is nice and hefty and the head is slightly more aggressive than a Jagger or a Merkur 34C but pleasantly more aggressive. It looks great and shaves even better . I love this razor and my MR3!

The price point on this razor is unbelievable considering the quality of the handle. That alone is worth the price and then some. I promptly put the handle on a Murker 1904 open comb head and transformed a light mild shaving head into an everyday razor. I can not say enough about the handle. I like it better than my Ikon Bulldog handle and it is half the price. Great work Brad!!!

I cannot believe I bought such a quality razor for $25. Honestly, it looks better in person. I’ve used this handle on about every head I have since I got it. It feels great in the hand. It has nice heft and makes the shaver do all the work. This is a no brainer.

Great razor, solid and heavy, efficient, but not overly aggressive. I have been using Personna Lab Blue blades in mine with excellent results. The handle alone is worth the price of admission. The MR5 would be a bargain at twice the price.

The quality of this razor at the price point is unmatched in the wet shaving community. The head provides a medium aggressive shave that is a nice step up from some of the milder DE89 style heads. The handle really shines as it has a nice heft (85 grams) and the contours and knurling are very intuitive and provide a nice comfortable hold.
