Any one had a problem with a smell with the brush . How do you get ride of the smell.

Top quality brush. Easily as great as my Semogue owners club and Cerda. I can finally say my brush is fully broken in. With nice strong backbone and silvertip softness from the split-ends, this is a keeper. Great ergonomics as well.

    I’d highly recommend this brush.

I started out using a great quality Parker Badger brush with shaving creams. I really wanted to try and use some great quality artisan shaving soaps like Reef Point and Soap Commander but the badger brush lacked the backbone I needed. The Omega 11137 knot size and loft holds enough lather for three good passes and cleanup. This was the best choice in brushes that I have ever made. Great handle, Fantastic quality boar bristles, great backbone for loading soap and lathering and after a little break-in, ( 4 or 5 shaves) this brush has soft soft bristle tips. This brush is my daily driver and my favorite brush.

Great brush. Seems well made. I offers more backbone than a badger brush. It looks great, too. I highly recommend it.

This is the perfect size and very comfortable, most people recommend soaking boar, I feel that if you soak this brush it almost is too soft. I like the more aggressive bristles and the bristles are firm without being abrasive. The appearance is fantastic I love the feel of the real wood. The brush is a bit light but has a reasonable size and plenty of control. I did not have to deal with any “boar break in smell” it smelt neutral on first opening and now smells like my Sandalwood soap.

I am a huge fan of wood grain and this brush has a great grain to show. The handle is so comfortable and not slick like plastic. The size is perfect as well not as big as my omega 49 but not as small as my mixed omega. Its almost to good for a great price.

This brush is my daily driver. After a week of use it’s as soft as my silvertip, but stiff enough for my face lathering needs. One thing I like most about Omega brushes is the size of the loft. It’s tall enough to do sort of paint like strokes on my face once I’ve reached the right lather consistency. But it also has enough backbone to not flail all over the place. The initial boar smell was there, of course, but I simply used a strong smelling soap to mask it and went to town anyway. A lot of people break in their boars before using them, but this was soft enough to use straight away.

The handle itself is gorgeous. I always get compliments on it whenever my friends stop by and use my bathroom. Now that I think about it, I doubt many people get complimented for things in their bathroom.

Top value, very good quality boar.

Omega brushes have a deserved reputation for quality and value. This boar brush has all the qualities you would expect… stiff and a little scrubby for easy face lathering and grabbing soap from your puck. If you like boar brushes, this one is hard to beat.
