This brush only cost me $10, so I can’t complain too much. I do like the knot. It was obviously intended to simulate a boar knot, and I think it does that well, as it looks and feels like one. It has a decent amount of splay, yet sufficient backbone.

But the handle is what I have a problem with. It’s clear that Omega wanted to meet a low price point, and the handle is where they skimped. It’s very small and uncomfortable to hold, and even looks cheap. The brush might be good for travel, but doesn’t provide the comfortable experience I like when shaving at home.

I have used this brush only 3 times but I’m going to compare it to my HJM 21P8 which was my main brush for 6 months or so. Both are very soft, they load the same. The S10065 splays easier which is important to me. The price difference is huge too! I’m very happy with this brush! Did a 3 pass shave (face lather) plus 2 more neck passes and had plenty of soap left on the brush! Don’t hesitate to get this brush!

Excellent brush with lots of backbone and holds enough soap for 4+ passes. This brush is easily underpriced.

These are some of the most under rated brushes you will find in the current market. These brushes are inexpensive, yet perform better than many $30-40 brushes. They have ultra-soft tips, and just enough backbone to allow them to pick up soaps easily without making them resistant to splaying naturally on your face. These brushes have thinner and softer fibers than the Omega Hi-Brush Synthetics which means they feel more like a natural hair brush and hold a lot more water and lather. Like most synthetics these brushes offer very easy maintenance as they dry almost immediately once you squeeze the water out post-shaving, and this fast drying trait makes them ideal for travel.

If you are looking for a brush to replace your Omega boar you owe it to yourself to try one of these. If you are in need of a travel brush and don’t want a tiny brush that doesn’t hold enough lather you should seriously consider one of these brushes as they are inexpensive (no big deal if lost) and offer amazing performance.
