I have been meaning to review this brush for several months now. I have always used the Omega Pro 49 boar brush, that was my go-to brush, try a badger, hated it. So, when Maggards had a sale last year for this little beauty, I thought I’d get one for use as a new travel brush.
Service, as always was fantastic! Right out of the box, the brush was ready to go! No smell, no break-in,
softer than any badger or boar I’ve ever tried. But still lots of “backbone” for me (I face lather).
I was worried that as small as this brush was that it wouldn’t generate enough lather for my usual 3-pass shave.
Boy, was I ever wrong! This is a lather monster! Works great! So great, it replaced my Omega boar as my go-to brush!!!
The smaller size works perfect ( I have a goatee), handles great and can’t say enough about this brush or Maggards Razors! Highly recommend both the brush & Maggards!!!

Really enjoyed the brush until the handle cracked. Had it for 2 months and liked the performance. Now the handle has split and the know falls out of the handle when pulling the remaining lather out of the brush or cleaning. Can’t complain too much about a $10 brush, but I certainly would have expected more than 2 months of total use. Handle was not submerged in water for any length of time just 10 seconds of the know under running water before a lather.

This has got to be the best deal in brushes anywhere. The brush is baby soft, whips up some great lather, and has enough backbone to tackle the hardest soaps. I purchased this for travel, but I use it at home too. It won’t replace a fine badger brush, but if I could have only one brush, I wouldn’t feel bad with this.

People say that you don’t have to soak a synthetic brush, which is true. But you will find that a good soak in hot water will help the brush retain heat longer.

For the money, an excellent synthetic brush with good but not annoying stiffness. Lathers well, rinses easily, dries quickly.

If you like boar brushes with good back bone as well as soft. This will be you new favorite brush.

If you like badger brushes that are really soft, you will not enjoy this brush.

This is a great brush for the price. Anyone who wants to try a synthetic should start here. I use this as my daily brush but would also work great for travel. It is not as soft as the plisson but has more backbone to help with harder soaps. I highly recommend this brush.

I look forward waking up and getting my fix on in my shaving den when it comes to wet shaving. I was excited for this brush arriving hearing good things about it. I was highly disappointed with this brush. Taught me that I’m not a synthetic brush shaver! That’s the nicest way I know to put it!

This is a great brush! It is incredibly soft to the touch. Right out of the box, it was softer than a badger brush that I’ve been using daily for 2 years. The bristles are more flexible and springier than any natural hair brush I’ve used, but that hasn’t presented any problem with lathering. If you soak the brush for a few minutes before use, it lathers beautifully. The bristles also dry more quickly than animal hair. I bought this brush just to try it, but it is quickly becoming my go-to daily brush. I’d recommend this brush to anyone, but I think it would be an especially good choice for anyone who doesn’t want to use animal hair, anyone who is bothered by “prickliness” of other brushes, someone trying wet shaving who doesn’t want to spend a lot, anyone on a budget, and anyone who wants a brush that dries quickly. (Omega should pair these bristles with their travel brush handle!) Plus this model has beautiful and comfortable proportions. Again, great brush.

These are some of the most under rated brushes you will find in the current market. These brushes are inexpensive, yet perform better than many $30-40 brushes. They have ultra-soft tips, and just enough backbone to allow them to pick up soaps easily without making them resistant to splaying naturally on your face. These brushes have thinner and softer fibers than the Omega Hi-Brush Synthetics which means they feel more like a natural hair brush and hold a lot more water and lather. Like most synthetics these brushes offer very easy maintenance as they dry almost immediately once you squeeze the water out post-shaving, and this fast drying trait makes them ideal for travel.

If you are looking for a brush to replace your Omega boar you owe it to yourself to try one of these. If you are in need of a travel brush and don’t want a tiny brush that doesn’t hold enough lather you should seriously consider one of these brushes as they are inexpensive (no big deal if lost) and offer amazing performance.

I’m really happy with this brush. This is the 2nd synthetic that I own (the 1st is the grooming co brush), but I wanted to try something a little bigger (in loft height) and this was not a lot of money to try. First – this builds a really wonderful, easy lather. Learning the right amount of water to leave in the brush was a little different, but it is with any brush I suppose. And getting the brush to splay properly, I found was also related to the water content. With too little water, this behaves a little differently, in that the fibers will all move together and do not splay. Even with plenty of water, you still kind of have to just go for it and press a little harder than with a hair brush, but these are all small adjustments. Lastly, I have not seen a fiber shed from this, and I’ve been using it for just under a week – usually the most productive for shedding. For the price and performance, I couldn’t be happier.

Fantastic brush, I use the Arko shave sticks and this brush does great building lather and holding more than enough for second or third passes…. My only problem is from two other family members that like this brush also, so it looks like I’ll be ordering a couple more again. Service and shipping was fast and excellent!
