Customer review

After trying Proraso "Red", I had to give Proraso "White" a try, I'm glad I did. The scent is very light and clean, and it lathers extremely well for a "sensitive" soap. With a warm damp brush and a few swirls, you'll create a thick paste lather. Add a few more drops of water and it becomes a slick cushiony lather that lets your razor glide across your face and scalp like bald tires on freezing rain. It has just the right amount is menthol, just enough to let you know it's there without giving a "cold" sensation. For the small amount you actually use for a shave this container is sure to last for months, definitely a great bargain for a great shave.

Customer review

Searching for a new top cap to repair a Edwin Jagger safety razor that spontaneously disassembled when I dropped it on the tile bathroom floor -- Oops! -- I stumbled on Maggard Razors. They provided me with a Muhle replacement top cap that fit perfectly and put my Edwin Jagger back in operation. But I couldn't resist ordering a Maggard Razors 4-head bundle, ordering one each of their Standard V3, Open Comb V2, Aggressive V3A, and Slant, and adding an MR18 Stainless Steel Handle for good measure. I received my order very promptly and I've now tried all four heads and the handle. I've got to say that the heavy-weight MR18 handle is by far my favorite among a variety of Parker, Edwin Jagger, and Murkur razors I own. It's heavy weight and length give it a heft that steadies the hand quite wonderfully. The heads are all very nicely finished, the equal of any other safety razors I own. I particularly like the combination of the heavy-weight MR18 handle and the Aggressive V3A head, which give a very close shave with the steadiness of the heavy handle giving an added measure of confidence when using this very aggressive head. This combination may be my favorite of all the safety razors I own! The rest of the heads are also very good and each has its own unique qualities. You'll have to try them all to find the one you like best. That's easy because the 4-head bundle is very reasonably priced. A Big Thanks! to Maggard Razors for some great products at very good prices. I'm a happy shaver!

Customer review

I have been using this for several months and find it to be my favorite of the half dozen soaps I have tried. The consistency of the lather seems perfect. It's the only soap I have used from which I have never experienced razor burn or irritation. To date this is the best.

Customer review

I'm very disappointed with this soap. It lathers well but that's about it. I had to continuously add water to my face because this soap dries out so quickly. Honestly though, the smell is what bothered me the most. It smells like old lady perfume. I kept reading great reviews about this soap but unfortunately I could not disagree more. I honestly get better results with just plain old coconut oil. I will not be purchasing any proraso products again.

Customer review

Agree with everything said in other reviews. Unfortunately the menthol irritates my skin. Seems most soaps/creams have something that does it for me. Col. Conk sensitive is the best so far, but not slick enough. RS Shave cream is pretty good though. Slick as Proraso, if not more so, and builds lather even better. However, is slightly irritating as well.
