Made with mutton tallow and lanolin, it has a calm and pleasing pine scent that is nothing like a pine oil used in cleaning products, as it has a touch of oakmoss to round out the blend. The fatty acid rich mutton tallow combined with the lanolin leave your face nourished and smooth. (Essential Oil)

Ingredients: Mutton Tallow, Stearic Acid, Distilled Water, Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential Oil, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Milk, Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate

I think this is the best price / performance soap out there. I have never had a bad shave with it. It lasts FOREVER, and it smells pretty good too. If I had one soap for the rest of my life and it was this, I'd be okay with it. The mutton tallow base is slightly more slick than the normal Stirling base. I will always have one of these in my den.

Stirling Soap Co.’s ‘Scots Pine Sheep’ produces reasonably slick lather with good cushion, although the post-shave isn’t as good as more premium soaps. The scent is pleasant. The soap itself has quite a pugnent smell, but the lather it produces has a much more pleasant aroma. Moreover, at $13.20 for 165 grams or so (5.8 ounces), it delivers excellent value for money.

Typically great Stirling soap that provides a slick lather. Pine scent is somewhat hidden behind a lemon/citrus scent, but it's not unpleasant. Solid performer.

Customer review

I really like Stirling soaps, and this is my favorite among all of them. The pine scent is subtle (not as strong as in Coniferous, another great soap), but fresh. It's an earthy smelling soap, in a very pleasing way. The mutton tallow provides wonderful cushion and post-shave feel. The lanolin provides slickness and more good stuff for your face. Lathering is fairly easy, and I like to load my brush with an ample amount of this soap; the more the better.
