Product Description

Story

Shaving with a single blade is better for your skin, but it can be intimidating for first time users. That’s why we created The Single Edge safety razor – it’s the easiest and safest way to shave with a single blade, reducing irritation and ingrown hairs. It’s inspired by a vintage design, crafted from solid stainless steel, and built to give you the finest shave you’ve ever had.

The blades used in the Single Edge are known as injector blades. They are not proprietary to us and have been in production for 100 years. Every razor ships with a six-month supply of American made injector blades. Easily load new blades with the included no-touch blade changer.

Note: You’re unique, and your razor should be too. Customize the closeness of your shave with the Custom Shave Settings for your Single Edge razor – they’re the perfect upgrade to your shaving experience. Think of it like the clippers at your barbershop – change the setting to change how close you shave.

These base plates can be found here

    :

This razor is very nice, built well in all finishes.
But it is very aggressive, the builder has to make a more closed comb.

This razor is in my Top 3, so smooth an efficient but in my case the personna/ted Pella blades are a mess, Schick injector or Schick Proline B20 blades are better (smooth and last long)

I have to say I didnt expect to enjoy this razor as much as I have. I usually use the Rockwell or Merkur DE with Kai or Feather or Personna , Gillette blues or Polsilver. This one shines, I am now on my maybe 10th shave on one blade so far and am getting very close to needing to change the blade. It is a very sharp looking razor( a pun) and if you are thinking of getting one, I dont think you will be disappointed. i have been using it for about 2 weeks now.

This is a great product. Shows up in box similar to an Apple iPhone, which just goes to show these guys are going the extra mile to make the best first impression on their customers. The learning curve is nothing but a 3 minute read on what angle to hold it at and how to insert your fresh blades. Shaving is no longer a dreaded task and skin irritation is no longer an issue.

Mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, it gives shaves that are almost completely irritation-free, on the other, I get a LOT of cuts. I used this as my daily driver for about two weeks to make sure I got the technique right, made extra sure to use a very shallow angle with a light touch, etc., but ultimately I just found myself switching back to a DE. There are just too many cuts.

The workmanship and presentation are flawless, the box is solid and nice-looking, but awfully designed — it badly needs cutouts to make it possible to open. Seriously! The fit is so tight it’s essentially impossible to open without tools, and even then it requires perfect dexterity, takes at least a minute, and is something of a two-person job. You can forget it if your joints aren’t in top shape or you have reduced grip strength. I can’t believe nobody at Supply co. noticed how utterly impossible it is to take this razor out of its box.

Recently got the Supply Provision Single Edge V2 edition.
Seems like Supply has already tweeked a previously good razor (V1 edition).
Their openness and honesty with the development of this razor has caused me to hang in there with this Kickstarter
product. I’m glad that I did. I consider this a premium razor that is reasonably priced. It gives a smooth, safe, close and comfortable shave. I used the aggressive setting- no problems.
I congratulate Patrick and Jennifer and All for delivering an outstanding single edge razor. Do I love it? Well, put it this way from an “old guy”: I like it very much!

I was one of the original Kickstarter backers for Supply Provision’s “Single Edge” razor. About 3 years ago, I began using a DE razor instead of a cartridge system to save money. To say the least I got hooked and I have purchased several razors and a discovered a variety of handmade shave soaps, shaving creams, and aftershaves. The one thing I never owned was an injector style razor… ya know the Schick razors that I saw advertised in the 70’s and 80’s. Then I saw the Kickstarter campaign for a stainless-steel injector razor with adjustable base plate and decided to fund the project. Over the next several months, I received regular updates from the founder, Patrick Coddou and finally a finished product near the end of 2016.

I have been shaving with the Single Edge razor for a few months and I can honestly say it’s an absolute gem to use. I purchased the “custom” version which is a gorgeous stainless-steel razor that includes 3 different base plates and allows the razor to be customized for an individual (think mild, regular, and aggressive). I have a medium-dense beard with thick hair and I find I get a terrific shave using the regular plate. However, if I use the aggressive plate, baby-bottom smooth.

What’s different about using the Single Edge than a standard DE razor is that the best shave results are achieved by using a shallow shave angle… like 10-15 degrees vs. 30 degrees for a DE razor. I learned this from a video I watched on Supply Provision’s website teaching new users how to use the Single Edge. I was a little skeptical at first, but the razor just glided over my face and removed stubble with very little effort. Because I was used to using a DE razor, it took me about a week to get my technique down, but very light pressure and a shallow shave angle are the keys to getting a wonderful shave. This razor has been my go-to for the last 2-3 months and I highly-recommend it.
