great soap - good strong lather and great feel for a smooth and cushiony shave. The fougere scent is a bit different than other 'classic' fougere, but I like it regardless, and it's a great shave as the weather just starts to cool a bit.

Siero is THE best soap base ever made, so slick that makes your razor slip under the sink. When face lathering, you just can't hold your brush if some soap goes on the handle. Post shave world class. Nuff said.

Wow, top top soap. I don't know how to start explaining this soap. I wanted to get the unscented version but took too long to decide and it was sold out. So I picked this one up instead, after all the hype of this soap base. Scent can be subjective, wife isn't a fan, but I find it quite nice. The soap base, on the other hand, is so good. Probably the best one I have in my den. It seems to combine all the great characteristics of all the top soaps in the market right now. It's easy to load, easy to lather. This soap has such a wide hydration range, I was more than satisfied with its thick and slick lather for the first pass. Then when I get back to lathering for the second pass, I added a bit more water and it starts building more think and slick lather. Similar to Mitchell's wool fat in this regard. . This one is not just a bit ahead, it's far ahead. It makes B&M's excelsior base feels like a mediocre soap. It's much more expensive than other soaps, but I think it's worth it.

I have over 300 shave soaps and creams and have pursued the Holy Grail of both. I purchased this soap hoping that it may be the one. All of the vital criteria are checked off at a very high level. But, at $7.50/oz I expected a Ferrari. Instead, I got a Corvette Z06. This stuff is easily loaded, slick, and the post shave ain't too shabby. I like the scent too. But, at this price point, I expected to be WOWED. I wasn't.
