Delays due to Tragedy

On Friday, 4/9, my dog suffered a catastrophic injury. We were playing fetch like every other day in his life, and he twisted / fell wrong during a full-out-run. He yelped with pain, and as I ran to help him I immediately realized that he could not walk. Within minutes I knew something was very wrong. He was paralyzed, and had loss control of the entire back half of his body, including bowels. A rush to a local vet office yielded a referral to an animal hospital, and then finally a referral from there to a neurological center for animals, where we found out that he has 1 of 3 conditions, 2 of which were inoperable. After seeing the costs for surgery if it was the operable condition, we elected to take him home and hope for the best. We're giving him 2 weeks to make significant strides in recovery before we make a decision, but, he requires round the clock care from us. It has been difficult to get out to the shop. I'm going to adjust some ETA dates for completion on my backlog, and know that it is not because I am just lazy. ;)

That sucks Brad! I have dogs myself and know how much they become part of the family. Know I’m hoping for the best also! As for the razors…well we’ve all been waiting weeks, if not months, for them since you are in such high demand. A couple more won’t matter. Good luck, and I hope everything works out.

I appreciate your concerns! Strider is doing MUCH better. He has regained control of most of his functionality. I will post an update soon.

Just read about your dog Brad. it’s such a difficult thing for a family to cope with. I hope things have improved since you first wrote about the incident, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.
