Much better than my razorock 400 that has a similar knot. They’re the same size even though the razorock is supposed to be bigger.this has a much denser knot and more backbone. Very soft tips with good back bone loads soap easy is great for face lathering or bowl lathering. Would be perfect if you only wanted one brush as it is good size for travel also. The only thing I don’t like is the handle shape it’s not comfortable in my hand and slips out of my stand if I don’t place it in there just right

This is my favorite Maggard synthetic brush so far. As others have said, the fibers are somewhat stiffer than other synthetic brushes. The loft is just about as tall as a 24mm Maggards that I have, and similarly thick, so although it feels somewhat smaller in the hand (the handle is smaller, as is the knot), in usage it feels pretty large and full. I really like the additional detail at the bottom of the handle where it is tapered back some – makes it easier to hold. Great brush!

This is my favorite shaving brush. I’ve had this for about 2 years and have used it almost everyday and when I go on trips. The bristles are perfect and soft and the size of it is just perfect. This is the only brush I need. Once I find something I like its all I use.

This is my first synthetic brush. Given its affordable price, my expectations were low. However, this is a fine brush, easily becoming my favorite. And I have badger as well as boar brushes from well-known makers. But for ease of use, ease of upkeep, and daily results, this tops them.

Very nice brush with a solid handle and good backbone but also very soft. Great brush for a great price I recommend it to everyone.

I agree, this is more bad weather to create foam on my face. And the bar handle really ought to be shifted towards the wick. To me though, the presenting of hair to the handle neck is actually a medium sized subject rather than a small one, so me, I will award five stars.

Does anyone read these things? These inane reviews to get 5% are of no help to site users. Maggards, crack down on this junk and only publish reviews of 50 word minimums written in coherent English that offer at least theoretically useful criticism of the product.

In all seriousness, this is an excellent brush, offering soft tips and a more solid backbone than the other Maggard synths. If you’ve tried a Plissonitator and thought it was floppy, these black fiber alternatives are worth trying. 22mm is a tad small, and the loft here is slightly on the long side, but this brush works and works well, rivaling similar black fiber synths that cost twice as much.

Makes an excellent traveling brush also due to easy cleanup and quick drying. And the handle is great, very attractive.

Response from Maggard: Craig, thanks for the review! Many of our customers are International and do not speak English as their primary language, but, still want to offer their feedback to others about our products. The odd review you’re referencing was more than likely just an amusing example of what Google Translate is capable of 😉

The bristles looks nice, but is a little less soft than the wick 24mm. As if more bad weather to create foam on his face. The handle of the bar could be more shifted toward the wick, it would then be more convenient in keeping. Overall a good brush for the price, nice Aug. presenting hair, only a small subject to the handle neck (very good it is resolved in Maggard Razors 22mm 2-Band Badger Shaving Brush, Aluminum Handle).

Outstanding brush!! As others have said, this is a tad stiffer than the regular Plissoft synthetic brushes and is super soft. This became my daily “go to” brush after the first use. This is the current “best buy” for the money in synthetic brushes available at present.

This is an amazingly nice synthetic knot. Its a little stiffer nylon fibres than the usually knots, a little more like Omega S-Brush and thats a compliment! The handle is where this shines, its just gorgeous, the colours just pop and makes the brush stand out against the others on the shelf. Highly recommended for any serious shaver!

I’m really really happy with this brush and I feel that it’s going to replace my other favorite brush which is the 24mm Maggard synthetic. It has a firm backbone yet it I apply pressure the tips are soft and never get scratchy. I’ll be sure buy the 24mm version if Maggard makes it. Highly recommended!!!

Very nice brush. The bristles are slightly stiffer than the other Maggard synthetics.

I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. This is basically a Satin Tip The Purest with a different handle. It’s not that the handle is smooth and lacks the same rubber coating, it’s that the handle looks a bit cheap in real life that causes it to lose a star. Regardless, this brush is elegant, small, has nice soft silky bristles AND good backbone. Perfect for hard soaps! Nice job over all!
